Before dawn, four men formed up under the streetlights. The mission was clear—move the weight.
Micro took point first, loaded down with the ruck and heavy sandbag, shuffling into the dark. Behind him, Falcon, Zero Turn, and Scratch dropped to earn their advance—10 deconstructed burpees: squats, merkins, groiners. When the set was done, they grabbed the remaining gear and pushed forward to catch him.
Then the torch passed. Falcon shouldered the load. Then Zero Turn. Then Scratch. Each round, the pace slowed, the breath got heavier, and the respect for the man under the weight grew stronger.
The burden never got lighter—just shared. And somewhere between the sweat and the shuffle, the truth showed up:
Leadership isn’t about standing out front. It’s about carrying the load until your brother’s ready to take it.
