Pax does the workout like how the song "The 12 Days of Christmas" says. Start with the first ladder rung(exercise), then the second and back to the first. Next do the third ladder rung, then the second, then the first. Get to the 12th ladder rung and work back down to the first. The numbered ladder rungs are the reps.
