Considered the Definition of Nice & the Definition of Kind & considered the subtle differences between the two.
– A Couple Key TakeAways –
While the two are often used interchangeably in today’s society the difference between the two is stark. One is self serving & promotes shallow social interactions while the other is focused on people & often creates relational depth.
Several of the most obvious areas in our lives that these are put in display
1) At Home – how do we interact with our M, our 2.0’s, & relatives? Do we engage / teach / lead our households or do we choose to be passive & avoid conflict for the sake of convenience & peace?
2) At Church Gatherings – are we seeking genuine deep relationships with brothers & sisters in Christ or are we content for useless platitudes & empty “howdy do’s”?
3) At Work – are we focused on being agreeable and pleasant or are we committed to team growth & accountability?
Conclusion: Nice guys finish last because they are only committed to social compliance, never rocking the boat, avoiding confrontation especially in regards to accountability & their relationships are largely superficial or shallow. Easy pushed to & fro into whatever direction the largest collective or most influential force is heading. Guided not by their own convictions or morals but held hostage to the whims of everyone else.
