GOD Speed
For me, GOD Speed does not mean good fortune on your travels. For me, it means to be subordinate to GOD’s Time. GOD is beyond time and knows all. He will never be surprised or not see it coming. I want you to take a moment and consider the magnitude of that possibility.
For a being to know and understand the outcome of every decision good or bad over all time, and still choose to architect everything we see and feel over countless generations of mankind’s thought and choice of free will. Imagine how powerful that reason must be.
Are you part of the reason why he chose yes or are you a part of the cost for choosing yes?
John 11:35 “Jesus Wept” This verse was brought up in Sunday school last week and was very impactful to me. It justifies that GOD knows the pain of life is as real as it gets, but remember this, the good outweighs the bad in this world, the next time you can’t see any day light ahead of you, I want you to think about that, THE GOOD OUTWAYS THE BAD. That doesn’t mean we will be without pain, that means YOUR CHOICES can contribute to the reason why GOD chose to create, or YOUR CHOICES can be the COST AND THE PAIN. With this in mind, imagine how JESUS felt on the cross. I bet inside he was smiling. I bet his sacrifice was just a smidge of pain compared to the good he was doing, and you know he knew that. And GOD still chose to do all of this. That is my testimony to GOD Speed.
I am so grateful to host my VQ on the cusp of Easter Sunday and is the reason for our theme today.
So, in JESUS fashion we are going to use Parables.
Consider the butterfly affect. “a butterfly can flutter its wings over a flower in China and cause a hurricane in the Caribbean.” That would be GOD Speed. The number of actions, movements, collaborating gust of winds and temperatures whirling around to cause a hurricane. Imagine the math on that? Take a few calculations out of that and it may turn out to be nothing or just a rainstorm. The timing is collaboration is everything or nothing.
Dominos, everyone knows what that is, you set up hundreds and thousands of them to form a design and you knock them over to watch the chain of events.
Imagine the biggest display of dominos and they knock over the first domino and its running down the line, you are so excited its going faster and faster. Then some kids run over and about 500 dominos up the line they take out 5 pieces. You are yelling from the crowd, hey stop that, but they do it anyway and the dominos get to that point and the story ends. The rest of the dominos just stand there.
I think you all know where I am going with this. Are you working with GOD’s speed or are you part of the pain?
Todays Exercise will mimic dominos and parables.
We will start out as a group in a circle of Free Will, as our cadence revolves, the first domino will move to the next station, and so on through the entire course until you return to the circle of free will.
Each station will have something unique for you to consider, as you work out, Remember the pain of the past, the struggles of today or the joy of tomorrow. Life is fluid of ups and downs, where I lack you may be great, together we will survive, celebrate, and suffer together as brothers under GOD. GOD SPEED.
