Explained the background on 12 December 1985. 248 Soldiers from 3rd BN 502nd Infantry Regiment 101st Airborne were returning home after 6 month deployment to Sanai Egypt. Plane refueled in Canada but was not deiced. The plane crashed in Gander Canada killing all on board.
