Title: The Burden

Michael Phelps, arm circles, TTT’s, and runner’s stretch…which led to a healthy amount of mumblechatter.
Tha Thang:
We broke down into 5 groups. Each group grabbed a Cindy except Group 1. Two extra cindys were pre-staged for Groups 2–5.
The Carry:
Each group took turns carrying “Jack” while rotating cindys as we moved around The Ranch.
Get Him to the Roof:
Once we completed the carry, we lunged with cindys from island to island across the parking lot.
Tear Open the Roof:
Lawnmowers, Cindy swings, blockees, then more lawnmowers.
Lower Jack Through the Roof:
Four groups loaded their sleds with cindys while the fifth group pulled Jack. Each group sat on the ground and pulled the sled/Jack across the parking lot. Once they ran out of rope, they bear crawled forward, grabbed more rope, and continued pulling as a team. Rinse and repeat until they reached the end of the lot.
COT:
The workout was inspired by Mark 2:2–5, where four men carried a paralyzed man to Jesus. I tied each portion of the workout back to the story:
carrying Jack to Jesus,
getting him to the roof,
tearing through the roof,
and lowering him down to Christ.
One of the things I appreciate most about F3 is “Leave no man behind, but do not leave him where you found him.”
I’ve spent time in elite organizations and can work out anywhere, but with F3 I get to work out alongside godly men. Men who encourage each other, sharpen each other, hold each other accountable, and at times help carry one another through difficult seasons of life.
Most of us may not be physically crippled like the man in Mark 2, but every one of us has things that can cripple our horizontal and vertical relationships if we allow them to.
