Plank with five core principles
Repeat five core principles while going through WGS, YHC spoke about lessons learned about each principle over the past two years.
Mosey over to Cindy and everyone picks up two
Tha Thang:
Each cinderblock weighs about 35 pounds. Two of those represent the weight YHC has lost in the past two years with you all. Our goal today was to move those two cinderblocks about 200m
– Murder Bunny 15x or until exhaustion
– Run back to starting line, do 15 mountain climbers and 5 burpees (modified down from 15 after first round threatened to burn us all out immediately).
– Return to Cindy and continue murder bunnies
Most PAX struggled to move their own cinderblock the whole time. Nice little symbol of how we often don’t recognize whose burden we’re helping on any given day.
Returned to the start line and YHC mentioned a few lessons he’s learned from specific PAX followed by an exercise:
– Flat Tire taught me during my first NGT that you don’t need to do it all at once. 25 bent over rows
– Honker taught me to quit laying there because it’s not gonna get easier. 25 more bent over rows
– Spam taught me the purpose of challenges isn’t to pray them away, but to pray for strength and help to overcome them. 15 big boy sit ups with Cindy
– Sweet n Low taught me “if you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.” 25 curls
– Brady Bunch taught me we never really know what will keep somebody coming back consistently. It’s up to us to decide if we want it. 25 last curls and put Cindy to sleep
