We gathered at the ( Line 1st base line and BC and the boys had it all set up and ready to go at 0700. Strong work HIM's. A slight canopy modification was completed.
Tha Thang:
Chariot tires were filled with air to proper PSI, New drivers were trained and safety reviewed, Chairs adjusted to proper Driver heights. Pads placed and fit to Track commander needs. As the TC's arrived, families were matched with chairs and TC/Driver's were paired. Photo op. Next we gathered at the starting line where we were allowed to leave a minute early.
The course was challenging as the turf provided additional friction, the Daffin sidewalk was level in years past, the many turns had the driver's posterior deltiods screaming for mercy. The rain was kept at bay but the humidity was another story. All 5 TC's made it successfully made it to the finish line.
COT:
Medals and T-shirts were provided to Drivers and TC's alike. There were smiles across the board on our TC's and The hearts of the Driver's were full as well. If you want to experience this joy, join us at the Heartwood %K on October 17th, 2026.
Maintenance and Repairs Needed: canopy leg had difficult catching the pin (?missing)?, The blue chair brake cable is loose (I will check with Hill on Wheels at Heartwood), A couple chairs required 2" sticky Loop tape to attach cushion.
It was a pleasure to Drive with each and everyone of you. "Who Pushes Who?"
