The Thang — THE TERRIBLE SIX

Six stations. 15 reps each. Start at Station 1 and climb the ladder, adding one station each round. After completing your current level, run the length of the parking lot and back. Traveling movements were required between stations — no ordinary walking allowed.

1. Lawnmower Pulls w/ Cindy — 15 each side
2. V-Ups — 15
3. Hand-Release Merkins — 15
4. Bonnie Blairs — 15
5. Heels to Heaven — 15
6. Burpees — 15

Complete #1 → run down & back.
Complete #1–2 → run down & back.
Complete #1–3 → run down & back.
Continue climbing until completing all six.

Between stations, PAX traveled by bear crawl, lunge walk, broad jumps, and other prescribed movements.

Survive all six and you’ve earned the grand prize: grab a sled, harness up, pull it down and around the island, return it, then RESET TO #1 and start climbing again.

One complete climb = 405 reps + traveling movements + six long runs + a sled pull.

About half of the guys actually made it to the sled before time. I really liked this beatdown and plan to use it again.

Lots of compliments on the music this morning,
YOUTUBE MUSIC: A.I. Worship (90’s Hair Metal Version)
I had gotten so caught up studying theology, analyzing Scripture, and trying to have every answer that faith started to feel more like an intellectual exercise than a relationship with God. I’ve been reminded lately that faith needs to be lived—through prayer, worship, gratitude, and simply spending time with God. There’s a place for studying and asking hard questions, but it’s better to stop analyzing, turn up the worship music, and let faith strengthen your heart instead of exhausting your head.

With Snuggie injured it’s a reminder that everyone needs to listen to their bodies and not push through pain. Modify the exercise to protect yourself. Prayers for Snuggie and others mentioned. We talked about cleaning up at the back of the shed where we keep our Cindy’s. A couple Saturdays from now is the opening of a new F3 AO at Belmont Keller RH.

September 1 marks one year of sobriety for Ragtop. And one thing I’ve learned is that I don’t miss alcohol at all. Alcohol creates an illusion—that we need it to relax, celebrate, have fun, or escape. But those were stories alcohol taught me to tell myself. Walking away from it didn’t take something good out of my life; it gave me a better life. One year later, quitting alcohol remains one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of.
