At 5:30 the streets were quiet,
Most sane folks still asleep and denying it.
But 2-Stroke and Poodles answered the call,
With Marcy the dog leading one and all.
No EC today—we both slept in,
No extra miles before the run could begin.
2-Stroke, Poodles, and Marcy the hound,
Three members strong as we headed around.
The turnout was light, but the reason was clear,
Tomorrow’s Iron Pax is drawing near.
Week Zero is done, and Week One is here,
And tomorrow brings running that may cause some fear. 😂
With plenty of miles built into Wednesday’s pain,
Some runners decided to save their legs for the main.
No judgment here—we understand the game,
Because Iron Pax tomorrow may bring us some shame.
The miles got logged, the work got done,
Two PAX and a pup had plenty of fun.
No EC, no crowd, no elaborate plan—
Just showing up and doing what we can.
