Here's a Revolutionary War-inspired battle poem for this morning's F3 workout at The Foundry. A little patriotism, a little grit, and a tribute to the five men who answered the call.
# The Battle of Four Fronts
*A Tale of Five Patriots — November 2, 2026*
In the chill of dawn, 'fore the rising sun,
Five patriots gathered, their duty begun.
No muskets, no cannons, no horses to ride,
Just courage and grit, and their brothers beside.
Four enemy strongholds stood in their way,
Four battles to conquer before break of day.
The orders were simple, the mission was clear:
Attack every position, show neither retreat nor fear.
For twenty-five minutes, the battle would rage,
Each man writing history on his own page.
They stormed the first fortress, then two, three, and four,
Only to turn and assault them once more.
Again and again, through sweat and through strain,
They charged every stronghold, ignoring the pain.
No quarter was asked, no surrender was made,
As five steadfast warriors refused to be swayed.
One soldier came limping, an ankle betrayed,
But he stood with his brothers, determined he stayed.
Though hobbled in body, his spirit stood tall,
For a patriot's true strength is answering the call.
Then the twenty-five minutes had finally passed,
The smoke of the battle was clearing at last.
Five men stood together, their mission complete,
Not one had surrendered, not one knew defeat.
No medals were given, no trumpets were blown,
But each man had conquered a battle his own.
Five men had assembled, five men saw it through,
**All men had finished. All men better. All men true.**
And thus goes the tale of that November morn,
When five Foundry patriots answered the horn.
Four fronts were assaulted, again and again,
And victory belonged to the brotherhood of men.
