“The Val”

Conditions:  57degrees F, a bit breezy

A bit of warmup to get the blood moving.  13cts all around.

The Thang

This was a reprise of “The Val” which is a workout conceived by some friends of Valarie Feske, who suffered a spinal injury during a freak accident this past spring.  She presently is recovering from her injuries.  While the workout was not fun, it reminded us that we should be thankful we are able to gather and sharpen our minds and spirits on a day like today.

The workout consisted of:

  • 1 mile run
  • 25 hand release merkins
  • 30 mountain climbers
  • 50 knee repeaters (each side)
  • 20 burpees
  • 30 triceps dips / pickle pushers (aka “Friday Nights” for Swabbie)
  • 30 walking lunges
  • 15 walk-out merkins
  • 10 tuck jumps
  • 2 minutes plank
  • 50 star jumps
  • 2 minutes abs (LBCs)
  • Victory Lap (another 1 mile run)

CoT

Countarama, Namearama, pledge & prayer

Naked Moleskin

The preblast promised “not much” running and “not many” burpees.  YHC believes this promise was fulfilled because certainly 1 mile is not considered “much” running and 20 can’t be construed as “many” burpees.  Despite this, YHC continually was verbally assaulted for “false advertising” and “fake news”.
